Are Americans interested in politics? Are they well-informed? Do ordinary Americans know what is happening in Gaza city now?

  1. I think there are some Americans who are very informed. There are also a lot of Americans who are not. As for what's happening in Gaza, I'd say not many people know. The US news is really bad about covering foreign affairs, and when they do, they mainly talk about the bad things our so-called enemies have done, or the good things are allies are working on.

  2. Americans hate politics. But they pay attention to them. Americans also have a fundamental distrust of their news sources, but they watch them anyway.

The average American has no idea where Gaza is ("It's in the Middle East, right?") and if they have, they assume that it is a bastion of terrorism.

Educated Americans probably assume that Gaza is bringing everything that is happening there on themselves because of Hamas, who is linked to terrorism in the minds of Americans.

The problem here is one of news coverage, which virtually ignores the atrocities in Gaza, just as the 2006 war in Lebanon was mostly ignored.
